Juanita W. Lamb
Juanita Ward Lamb, 84, passed away peacefully, Sunday, October 22, 2006 at Sylview Health Care Center in Sylvania, GA. She was a native of Abbeville, AL., lived in Savannah most of her life and worked at the Central of Georgia Railroad as a ticket agent during the 1940’s and enjoyed having monthly luncheons until the last few years with the railroad girls. She was a member of Whitemarsh Island Baptist Church where she was active in the Sunday School and other Church activities. She was a member of the Wilmington Island Garden Club and enjoyed ceramics, crocheting, and gardening.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Frankie and Joseph Ward, Sr. and sisters, Dorothy Ward Williby and Nancy Lee Ward.
She is survived by her husband, Charles T. Lamb, of Sylvania; two sons, Ray Diana Lamb, of Sylvania; and Michael T. Lamb, of Shellman Bluff; two daughters, Peggy Horton, of Rincon; and Patricia L. Tom Vickstrom, of White House, TN; two sisters, Elizabeth Becker, of Pinellas Park, Florida, and Ann Jerry Garner, of St. Petersburg, Florida; one brother, S. Joseph Sue Ward, of Midlothian, Virginia; several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be 6 to 8 p.m., Wednesday, October 25, 2006, at Fox and Weeks Funeral Directors, Hodgson Chapel.
Funeral services will be 1:00 p.m., Thursday, October 26, 2006, at Fox and Weeks Funeral Directors, Hodgson Chapel.
Burial will be in Hillcrest Abbey Cemetery.
